If you’re someone who is a devout user of Fix+, you’ll no doubt know that it does more than just give your skin a quick boost of moisture but if not, allow us to fill you in. Enriched with nourishing vitamins and minerals, plus chamomile, cucumber and caffeine, Fix+ is a hydrating facial mist that can be applied before, during and after makeup application to hydrate, refresh and set your makeup. Plus, it also has a host of other skin-improving benefits for you to enjoy.
Global senior artist Carol Mackie shares some of her ultimate M·A·C hacks so you can get the most out of your Fix+.
#1. USE FIX+ AS A MAKEUP PRIMER
“Spritz the skin liberally with Fix+ and massage into the skin,” explains Mackie. “It will hydrate and prep the skin for moisturiser to follow.”
#2. USE FIX+ AS A HYDRATING MIST
“Fix+ acts as a pick me up and thirst-quenching drink for the skin,” says Mackie. “Spritz Fix+ liberally throughout the day to refresh, hydrate, cool and calm the skin.”
#3. USE FIX+ WITH POWDER PRODUCTS TO ENHANCE THE PIGMENT
“Pop a little pigment or your chosen eyeshadow onto your brush and spray the brush with Fix+ then apply to the eyelid,” explains Mackie. This gives an eye-catching, wet-look finish to your look.
#4. USE FIX+ WITH FOUNDATION TO SHEER-OUT COVERAGE
“Apply Fix + liberally onto a 170 Synthetic Rounded Slant Brush and blend foundation out to sheer coverage.”
#5. USE FIX+ WITH AN ANGLE BRUSH TO MAKE A COLOURFUL EYELINER
“Decant a little eyeshadow onto a dish and spritz with Fix + to form a liquid,” says Mackie. “Load up your angled eyeliner brush [with eyeshadow] and apply it as an eyeliner, starting at the inner corner of the eye and working outwards.”
#6. USE FIX+ TO TURN MATTE POWDER EYESHADOW INTO A BROW FILLER
“Decant some of your matte powder eyeshadow onto a dish and spritz Fix + onto your angled eyeliner brush,” says Mackie. “Dip the brush into the powder and etch hair-like strokes, working upwards from the base of the brow. This creates fine hairs and helps to fill in any gaps.”
#7. USE FIX+ TO BLEND OUT OVERDONE CONTOURING OR BLUSH APPLICATION
“Apply Fix + liberally onto a 170 Synthetic Rounded Slant Brush and blend outwards,” says Mackie. “Then, apply a touch more foundation and reapply blush and contour more softly.”
#8. USE FIX+ TO CORRECT OR ERASE MAKEUP MISTAKES
“Add a touch of Fix + onto a brush, such as the 212 Synthetic Flat Definer Brush, and blend out liner or clean up any mistakes around the eye,” says Mackie.
